THANK YOU FOR BOOKING!
I’m so excited to capture you and your family during this holiday season! These Christmas memories are always so special to look back on and I’m here to make it as fun and easy as possible!
Here are some outfit tips and suggestions in case you need help finding the perfect holiday outfit for your family!
The goal is COORDINATING outfits instead of MATCHING! I also recommend avoiding wearing WHITE as a top. White doesn’t allow for any contrast in your images. Plus if we want to bribe our kiddos with snacks, it’ll be best to avoid white for mess purposes! :)
Guys, I recommend that you avoid patterns that are smaller than a dime! These small patterns can create strange visual effects in a digital camera. I also recommend avoiding graphic tees and tennis shoes!
Ladies, I recommend that you wear something that flatters the parts of you that you love the most and also allows you to be extremely confident! If you are uncomfortable when you look in the mirror (having to suck in and only like the way you look from one angle), then that probably isn’t the best outfit choice for you. I want you to be really confident in your outfit, because I know that you will love your portraits so much more if you’re not worrying about how your clothes fit!
For our little ones: Layer them up! It’s always best to use layers for our little ones in case it’s chilly outside and it also makes for very cute outfits! Think for boys: a long sleeve button up under a cute sweater vest. For girls: leggings with a dress and a cute sweater on top! Feel free to dress your little loves up, just keep in mind how restricting it may be if they would like to sit :)
Some other tips to make our session as easy breezy as possible, especially if you have little ones :)
Bring some easy snacks to eat! Fruit snacks, cheerios, veggie straws, etc. Easy to wipe off crumbs and minimal mess :) Avoid purees, fruit pouches, etc in case of spillage!
A small toy that may comfort them. I often bring a small toy to hold near my camera so they look towards my camera but they’re more likely to smile for a toy that’s familiar to them! :)
A fun attitude! Kids will be kids and aren’t often infront of the camera. We’ll keep it light hearted and fun so they’re relaxed with you.
I hope this helps as you prepare for your session with me! Please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions! I cannot wait for our time together :)
