Sam & Katelyn - A Pump House Park & Brown's Island Engagement Session

Katelyn and Sam met me at Starbucks in Carytown at the beginning of 2019 and I knew that we would have a fun time at their engagement session and on their wedding and so far, it’s been so true! We met again on Sunday evening for their engagement session at Pump House Park and at Brown’s Island and the Canal Walk. I remember Katelyn asking at our first meeting if they could include Chloe, their adorable pup at their session and of course I said YES! Nothing makes me more excited than engagement sessions with the cutest couples and DOGS.

Cameron & Taylor - A Brown's Island and Canal Walk Richmond Engagement Session

Springtime in Virginia is so wild. Rain, sunshine, gusting winds and humidity. Being a Richmond wedding and engagement photographer means watching the weather and being reaaaallly flexible with plans. Brett & Cindy - a Virginia State Capitol Engagement

Most of my brides, I have never met until our first meeting at a coffee shop, over FaceTime or sometimes at their engagement session. I met Cindy when we were in high school, and she was one of my high school colorguard captains! So when Cindy reached out to me about photographing their May wedding, there was zero hesitation for me haha! It had been awhile (years) since I’d last seen her but when she and Brett met with me at the Virginia State Capitol for their engagement photos, it felt like it hadn’t been that long! Plus I got to meet Brett for the first time in person and hear a little bit more about them as a couple and that was so fun.
