Josh & Megan - A Spring Tuckahoe Plantation Engagement Session

Being a Virginia wedding photographer is a lot of checking the weather every few hours in the hopes that it changes and making backup plans in case it doesn’t. My first May wedding was like this and then the weather changed the day of to sunny! Same thing with Megan and Josh’s engagement session last Friday. It was due for rain and storms but literally the morning of, I checked the weather and NO RAIN!!! So we moved forward with their engagement session at Tuckahoe Plantation and oh my goodness, I could’ve have asked for better weather.

Megan and Josh wanted a nature feel for their engagements and Megan suggested Tuckahoe and I immediately realized that this was the perfect location for them. Grassy fields, blooming gardens, I mean, you really can’t go wrong!

They traveled all the way from Hampton for their session with me and I was so excited to get to meet them in person and hang out with them for a little bit! They are so much fun to be around and I loved how relaxed they were with each other and with me! This session was a dream and full of the glowy sunset light and lots of laughter. This was my very best attempt at narrowing down favorites but even then, I have wayy too many favorites! Enjoy my favorites from this amazing Tuckahoe Plantation engagement!

I mean seriously, how amazing are they?! I cannot wait for their fall wedding at Walker Creek Barn and Retreat in the Virginia mountains! They love hiking and they even shared their first “I love you“ there so of course the mountains is the perfect place for them to share “I Do!“ Come on, fall!!!
