John & Anna - A Bowood Barn Wedding | Orange, Virginia
I remember when I met John and Anna at Starbucks for our first meeting together, I knew that we would get along. They were full of laughs, we joked together and I could tell how much they loved each other. I got to know them, their love story and how excited they were to get married.
Two weeks before their wedding, we were all keeping an eye on Hurricane Florence and what she was planning on doing with Virginia. We prayed the storm would pass us by (which it sort of did) since there were talks of it stalling over VA and hitting us with massive rain. The week before their wedding, we had eight confirmed tornadoes in the RVA area, with one being extremely close to me. Their venue, Bowood Barn in Orange VA was tucked away out of the affected areas so I was thankful for that and that rain held off for a gorgeous wedding day!
Anna was beyond excited to marry the love of her life and I knew John felt the same. It makes my heart so happy to see grooms emotional on their wedding day, seeing their bride for the first time in her gown. John and Anna prayed together before the ceremony and shared a first look which was beyond adorable.
I loved being able to capture the love between them and seeing them officially become a family complete with Rylee, John’s adorable little girl. As a mom, I loved the tender moments Anna shared with Rylee as they got ready together and seeing Rylee with her daddy before the ceremony began.
It was a beautiful day with perfect weather- I literally couldn’t have wished for better weather, an incredible couple, dancing and celebrating with their friends and family. Enjoy my favorites from their wedding day!
